Hamish speaks from direct experience, at the intersection of mental health, addiction, identity, and living with HIV — subject matter that cuts across society.
These are not motivational talks. They are reflective, challenging and empowering discussions that give audiences permission to be more honest and compassionate with themselves.
Particularly sought after by organisations working on — or seeking to address — wellbeing, mental health, or stigma.
"Hamish delivered one of the most well-attended and talked-about sessions we've had at Mind. It's rare to find someone who balances expertise, authenticity, and empathy so well — he absolutely nails it."Lauren Minto, People, Equity and Culture team, MindEnquire about speaking

About Hamish
I know what it's like to be holding everything together from the outside, while quietly managing something that's slowly getting worse. That was me for years — high-functioning, high-achieving... just, high. Across the board. All the time.
It all changed when I was diagnosed with HIV. It woke me up and forced me to confront my reality, face my fears, and learn to reconnect with myself. It was a messy journey. I made lots of mistakes.

What clients say
It's helped me address every area of my life — drug use, sex, health, career, finances. In particular, it's helped with my anxiety, something I've struggled with for 20+ years.
One year clean. Unreal! You've changed my life.
A year without meth… I couldn't have done it without you.
Aside from the financial savings, I feel healthy, have more time for my family, and feel so much stronger.
Thanks for coming to celebrate with me — I wouldn't be here without your support.
Quite literally a life-saver. Addiction aside, it's made me address so many parts of my life. I'm excited to keep growing.
The first place I applied to with my new portfolio just offered me a job. Incredible! Every bit of help you gave me stuck with me. Thank you!
Thanks for being a legend. You've done so much for me it's hard to describe.
None of this would be possible without you — the promotion, the visa, the new home. Thank you.
Working with Hamish felt like getting a solid push in the back to move forward, while getting a reassuring pat on the back at the same time. It's a winning combo.
HIV Advocacy
I was diagnosed with HIV in 2020. For years, I barely told anyone. I was drowning in shame and at times couldn't see a way forward. Eventually, I opened up and shared my story. Now, I help others navigate diagnosis, disclosure, and life beyond the label.
If you're looking for support around HIV — practical, emotional, or both — this is where to start.
"With the right support, you can turn your diagnosis into your greatest gift."
Hamish is a Positive Voices speaker for Terrence Higgins Trust, the UK's leading HIV charity, and Board Chair for Ugandan community health organisation Amani Community Health Partners, which supports people living with HIV.
